Dimethicone is a general term for many types of cyclic polymers of silicone oils. They are used in many products and are considered very safe. Silicone polymers generally tend to be relatively inert.
You will have a very low surface tension transmitted so easily. They are used to improve skin and hair soft and shiny without feeling fat, with a weight of the hair and make it stick hair. They shine while giving hair blond and bounce. (Of course, if you are too much, then the results may vary.)
While oils are not as good as lubricants, oils, oil type, you do not care for lubricating oil, use machinery.

Edit
Dimethicone-Cleaner is not and can not be compared with detergents of all kinds
It is not at all difficult to wash the hair. As with many things, the shape and structure can be adapted so that it reacts with the hair and are difficult to wash, but with a different formula and structure that is more "simethicone".

Yah, that things are not so good for you. It coats the hair strands and it is really hard to get out (examples of this is Pantene)

Some other aggressive cleaning agents in hair care products (in the order of the hardest-insurance) is ammonium sulfate ammonium lauryl ether sulfate, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate.)

TEA membrane. is the safest cleaning agents and can be found in baby shampoo.
