In addition to the currencies of the USA 90% silver, which last met for circulation in 1964 and $ 40% silver Kennedy half, struck for circulation, the last time in 1969:

- The United States has continued to hit some money, but not intended for circulation. Instead, they sell at a premium for collectors of coins and gold bullion investors.

- Had been invented, most countries in the world of money stopped, silver coins in the period from 1940 to end of 1970. Mexico (100 peso coins) and France (10 and 50 francs coins) are two examples of countries that still have silver coins struck in the mid to late 1970s, but it is precious.

Since the United States continues in many countries, some silver coins that are not affectedt traffic, but sold at high prices, far above their value for money.
